    Customer Service Representative

    The Ryan Agency is seeking an experienced, top-notch Customer Service Representative to be part of the team!


    Choosing to work in the insurance industry is wonderful for people who want their days filled with customer interactions, enjoy varied tasks, and like the idea of each day being different from the day before. 


    What will our CSR do in a day?

    Primarily, your role will be to assist clients who call or visit the agency. The Ryan Agency is a busy office, so you will be asked to support many of the departments within the agency. Tasks will include:

    • Performing several computer-involved tasks, such as taking payments and making changes to policies
    • Performing data entry
    • Taking photographs of client vehicles

    • Has attention to detail. 
    • Has a desire to learn and grow. Many of our employees started in CSR positions and have grown to higher-level roles in the agency.     • Is a good communicator with above-average, organized, thoughtful written and verbal communication skills.
    • Has computer/technology experience, can type at least 40 words per minute, and feels comfortable with computer application interfaces.
    • Is able to work 8:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday, with no weekend or evening shifts. We value work-life balance and strive to provide a flexible work schedule.
    • Is looking for a long-term commitment. 
    • Is reliable. Our clients and other team members must be able to count on you consistently, just as you will count on them. 

    Insurance-related experience is not required; however, service experience in an office environment and an excited outlook about learning something new would be necessary.

    Location:

    The position could end up working in any of our three locations in Hornell, Jasper, or Wellsville, partially based on your preference and our needs. Initial training, which will be comprehensive and tailored to your needs, will primarily occur at our Hornell office, located at 57 Broadway, Hornell, at the end of Broadway Mall.
